It meets the size requirements for SFP-DD compact optical modules, with both the transmitter and receiver sections satisfying the 50G OLT C+32dBm optical module power budget. ICC News On September 3, 2025, Wuhan Youyang Optoelectronics announced the successful completion of EVT sample development for its 50G COMBO OLT V3.0 optical device. Since its inception, Wuhan Youyang Optoelectronics has been committed to becoming an industry leader in high-end, highly challenging 10-Gigabit symmetric-rate products—specifically, the 50G COMBO OLT optical device, which features three transmit and three receive channels at the core of 10-Gigabit networks. From the release of the 50G COMBO OLT V1.0 EVT sample on June 3, 2025, through the completion of the V2.0 EVT sample by August 20, and finally to the unveiling of the V3.0 EVT sample on September 3, the company has meticulously refined its product over a span of more than 90 days. During this period, the team executed three iterative version upgrades, each aimed at delivering a product that boasts superior performance, exceptional reliability, a streamlined production cycle, and unbeatable cost-effectiveness. Ultimately, this cutting-edge solution will outperform competitors' 10-Gigabit network core products by at least 20% in overall competitiveness, paving the way for market leadership while solidifying Wuhan Youyang Optoelectronics' technological and product-market advantages in the 50G COMBO OLT segment.
This 50G COMBO OLT V3.0 EVT sample still features a BOX+TO hybrid package, offering compatibility with third-generation networks supporting 50G/10G/2.5G and delivering symmetrical uplink and downlink rates. It meets the size requirements for SFP-DD compact optical modules (see the accompanying outline dimension diagram; the total device length is 32.5 mm), while both the transmitter and receiver sections comply with the 50G OLT C+ module's power budget of 32 dBm. The 50G COMBO OLT V3.0 optical components have undergone comprehensive development across various aspects, including optical path design, hardware engineering, thermal simulation, structural strength analysis, and high-frequency simulations. Relevant product test data and design details have already been submitted for a patent application on the product’s structural innovation. These components are manufactured in a fully automated production line in a single batch, laying a robust foundation for accelerating and optimizing the subsequent DVT, PVT, and MP phases—ultimately enhancing efficiency, boosting yield rates, and strengthening the product’s cost competitiveness.
